Our easy assay format uses common reagent kits that are universal to different targets. Each RNAscope 1.0 or 2.0 FFPE Reagent Kit includes all of the necessary assay reagents for in situ hybridization (except target probe), including: Pretreatment Kit, Detection Kit and Wash Buffer.

The HybEZ Hybridization System is recommended for routine performance of all Manual RNAscope FFPE Assays.

Our Manual RNAscope FFPE assays are specifically developed and validated using the HybEZ System.  Optimal performance of Manual RNAscope Assays for in situ hybridization can only be guaranteed when using the HybEZ.

• Each unit provides enough RNAscope in situ hybridization reagents for staining 20 slides, based on standard size tissue sections on the slide covering around ¾" x ¾" area.
• Each RNAscope FFPE Reagent kit includes all of the necessary assay reagents and wash buffers to perform manual in situ hybridization using the HybEZ oven, except Target Probe.
• RNAscope FFPE Target Probes must be ordered separately, please see our Target Probe Search.
• Visualize two genes simultaneously with our RNAscope 2-Plex FFPE Reagent Kits.

Select one of the manual assay options below:

• RNAscope 1.0

RNAscope 1.0 has set the standard for guaranteed high performance RNA-ISH and is still the easiest in situ hybridization method available. RNAscope 1.0 kits are ideal for medium to high gene expression levels above 20 copies per cell, or for use in freshly prepared FFPE tissue specimens.

• RNAscope 2.0 BROWN

RNAscope 2.0 Brown Kits are designed to provide more intense DAB staining when low copy target gene expression is anticipated (1-20 copies per cell).  RNAscope 2.0 kits provide the same high quality in situ hybridization reagents and probes as you have come to expect from RNAscope 1.0.

• RNAscope 2.0 RED

RNAscope 2.0 Red Kit offers a chromogenic alternative to typical DAB staining. RNAscope 2.0 RED can be used for in situ hybridization applications where chromogenic staining with DAB is less desirable, such as staining highly pigmented lung and melanoma tissue specimens.
